Come join us for an enlightening evening that will help share light on mindful techniques to engage both you and your child in a cohesive collaboration on resolving common problems or issues.
We are offering free training which will focus on how mindfulness can help educators, parents and caregivers to better support our youth who display challenging behaviors. This training focuses on the skill of the adult person to differentiate between reacting to challenging behaviors and instead to respond to the needs of a person(child) who may be in the midst of challenges in their lives. There will be a FREE full meal provided for all participants.
This is an adult class, however we realize single or working families may need Child care. Child care and a meal for the keiki will be provided on this evening too. Child care spaces are limited, please use this service only if needed.
We are the guides and models for our Keiki. Whilst their actions may be upsetting to any degree; our responsibility and desire is to recognize and respond to the childs needs after calming our own reactions to the childs choice.
Our training will be held on the 14th of December 2017 from 5-7pm in the Pre-K classroom; in the long hall.
You must RSVP to hold your spot and the space for any keiki needing care as well as to ensure a meal is ordered for you. Please detach and return the section below to the office or Kumu Shane in Pre-K.
