A Christmas Carol (The Musical)

The Hilo Community Players proudly present A Christmas Carol (The Musical), a heartwarming holiday production showing December 6–22, 2024 at the AOF Building, located at 280 Keawe Street in downtown Hilo.

With music by the legendary Alan Menken and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, this enchanting musical adapts Charles Dickens’ timeless classic into a theatrical celebration of redemption, generosity, and holiday cheer. Featuring a book by Mike Ockrent and Lynn Ahrens.

The production is brought to life under expert guidance of Rachel Klein (stage direction), Rachel Edwards (music direction), and Salome Douglas (choreography) and features incredible Hilo performers Ricky Alvarez, Theon Weber, Reina Irving, Ben McMillan, Zoe Douglas, Miranda Taylor, Barbara Johnson, and many more.

Together, the creative team and cast promise an unforgettable evening of music, dance, and storytelling as they take audiences on Ebenezer Scrooge’s extraordinary journey of transformation.
